My career goal is to be a Registered Nurse. I chose this career path because I enjoy helping and caring for others. I liked that this job will be hands on and I will never have a dull moment. I will meet new people and get to interact with many different personalities all the time. I like to be challenged as well and I feel that this career would do just that on a day to day basis. My special skills and personality traits such as compassion, caring, communication, ability to follow instructions, etc. are what helped me decide on this particular career choice. I am driven to help other by my own personal experiences. I
want to be a nurse not only because of my love for caring for others, but also
the job security. Cleveland Clinic is a prestigious institution of medicine located in my hometown. After graduation I would love to get a job there as a
Registered nurse. Working at Cleveland Clinic would allow me to give back to my
local community and inspire other aspiring medical professionals because Cleveland
is where I grew up. I also would love to become a motivational speaker and a mentor to young teens about their health and give the words of encouragement.
Having someone like the College Now college mentors, I can talk to and
motivate me during my high school career has helped me make it through.
I am attending Cleveland State University. I plan to major in Pre-Med/Chemistry to become a Pediatric Anesthesiologist. I chose this career based on personal experience. When I was 9 years old I was back and forth in the hospital for 3 years because of an illness. I had multiple surgeries and had to be sedated each time. The anesthesiologist had a big impact on me. They gave me hope and assured me everything would be fine when I woke back up. I would like to do this for other children.
